Description
Reporting to and working closely with the VP Procurement, you will oversee all external sourcing for the UK. This is an opportunity for direct impact on a global leader in SaaS legal technology, supporting the operations of Dye & Durham by ensuring that product and services meet business requirements and are delivered with quality while continually identifying cost reduction and service optimization opportunities.
Dye & Durham is a rapidly growing organization so priorities and the portfolio of vendors will change due to evolving business needs. You will be continually evaluating, adapting and redeveloping plans and tactics to stay aligned with business priorities and deliver strategic outcomes.
You will be the face of Dye & Durham with all size of global vendors and carry the responsibility of conducting business in a manner that will foster integrity, fairness, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Take a hands-on approach to UK sourcing in collaboration with key stakeholders and aligning with Dye & Durham business strategy, objectives, and priorities.
- Execute sourcing including obtaining competitive quotes, requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP) while adhering to Dye & Durham policies to enable the business to identify and take advantage of industry-leading capabilities.
- Negotiate new contracts and renewals in collaboration with legal, finance and business owners.
- Directly manage vendor relationships with a focus on nurturing a set of strategic partnerships and working through these partnerships to optimize business outcomes and spend.
- Support the governance of global information security and regulatory compliance programs.
- Support department leaders in achieving their business objectives through vendor partnerships.
- Manage commercial documentation and update systems to ensure data accuracy and retention.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, and vendor management, with a confidence in your own skills to negotiate with senior vendor stakeholders.
- Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, or Commerce, with an emphasis on sourcing, IT procurement, or relevant discipline
- Demonstrated understanding of IT technology and vendors go to market business models, particularly SaaS and software licensing models.
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills with vendors, with demonstrated results in securing competitive pricing and terms and conditions.
- High attention to detail end-to-end throughout each negotiation with ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong & professional communication skills (written, verbal).
- Effectively present to VP levels and above
- High work ethic to effectively hit the ground running.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
