Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Plant/Production Manager to oversee all facets of our plant operations, ensuring efficient production, seamless shipping/receiving processes, accurate inventory management, and effective maintenance of equipment and facilities. The Plant/Production Manager will be responsible for managing daily operations in the production facility, focusing on maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring workplace safety. This role requires leadership in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources effectively, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to meet company goals and deadlines.
- Ensure production processes adhere to quality standards, safety regulations, and company protocols.
- Analyze production metrics and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Oversee the shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials and finished products.
- Coordinate with vendors and logistics partners to maintain smooth supply chain operations.
- Manage inventory levels for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Implement systems for inventory tracking, stock rotation, and accuracy in reporting.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Supervise the maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure minimal downtime.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to prolong equipment lifespan.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to address issues quickly and effectively.
- Lead, train, and mentor plant staff to achieve high performance and professional growth.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, quality assurance, and sales, to align goals and improve processes.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in plant management, production, or a similar role in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of production management, shipping/receiving operations, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage resources, and drive operational improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite).
