Our client is looking for a Demand Planner to play a key role in the IBP process, as the forecast it delivers will enable operations to meet the production targets timely, efficiently and cost effectively.
About you:
This role would suit someone with demand planning experience in sectors such as but not limited to food, beverages, FMCG, Manufacturing.
Experience with forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning and/or IBP in the animal feed industry or any other industry such as FMCG.
Excellent knowledge and expertise in ERP tools in functionality and usage. Microsoft Office (in particular MS Excel) is a requirement and knowledge of Infor M3 and DMP is desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities
Forecasting:
- Prepares as accurate as possible the demand forecast for all products.
- Maintains demand planning master data, systems and software, maintains relevant data and monitors / analyses trends to further enhance the forecast.
- Keeps up to date with the latest forecasting theory and concepts in order to become as effective as possible.
Data and Information Gathering:
- Collects timely the right input / data and information from sales (and marketing).
- Works with sales to develop a robust prospect/new business process in order to capture information at the right time about new products and how to include these in the forecast.
- Identifies variances based upon historical production performance.
- Identifies relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence that is relevant for the demand forecasting process.
- Identifies sales opportunities and risks.
Collaborative Planning:
- Prepares relevant material to facilitate discussion and manages the monthly demand meeting, in which the input from sales & marketing is discussed beforehand.
- Achieves consensus for operational demand forecasts.
- Collaborates with key customers planning teams to tend to collaborative and integrated planning.
