Job Description
Our client is a leading Secondaries fund specializing in secondary transactions in Private Equity and Private Credit through both closed-end and open-ended funds. They focus on delivering value through disciplined investment strategies, leveraging deep market knowledge, and innovative solutions. As a rapidly growing firm, they are looking to expand their team with dynamic and motivated professionals to help drive with their continued success.
Based in London, this junior individual will be working closely with the team, including senior management, and third party providers to assist, co-ordinate, and enhance our clients’ fundraising and investor relations activities globally. The individual’s core responsibility will be the project management and co-ordination of the firm’s global fundraising activities.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead the firm’s tracking of its investor relationships by taking ownership of the Salesforce database and reviewing input by data entry team
- Driving investor targeting and feedback processes to ensure appropriate outreach in line with relevant marketing restrictions for each geography and product
- Liaising with relationship managers and also external third parties such as placement agents to ensure key metrics regarding investor progress in their investment decision making is captured in a timely and accurate manner
- Review and production of reports to highlight different aspects of the fundraising progress
- Working with the senior management and liaising with relationship managers to ensure proactive communication and consistent and coordinated messaging across our clients’ products with limited partners
- Creating status updates on the progress of each of the fundraisings for key stakeholders internally, including to the Board
- Working closely with our clients’ fund counsel and administrators to oversee the legal process through to closing
- Responsible for highlighting any inefficiencies or issues that are impacting the fundraising progress and working with key stakeholders to implement processes and solutions
- Working closely with the Investor Services sub-function and Due Diligence sub-function on fundraising related messaging to ensure consistency across IR
- Be a central point of contact for all matters affecting investors from a fundraising perspective
- Work successfully across all internal departments in New York, London, Hong Kong, and with external suppliers to deliver a consistently high-quality investor experience
- Monitor industry best practice and contribute new ideas to help refine the company’s innovative global Investor Relations programme
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Experience in private equity firm or related advisory business
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Advanced PC skills including MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Acute attention to detail
Desirable
- Detailed understanding of private equity secondaries market
- Finance/investment banking background
