Job Description
Assistant Marine Engineer £30,000 – £35,000 + Pension
Do you have experience working on engines? Are you looking for an opportunity to gain experience and be trained as a Marine Engineer working on high performance engines? Are you looking to join a company where you can hone your skills in engine performance and reliability, and progress your career in London?
This is a great opportunity to work for arguably the most iconic speedboat operator in the UK and work on state of the art engines.
THE ROLE
- Test all engines, gears, controls and parts, ensuring props are not damaged.
- Address excess water in the hulls by planning, actioning, and preventing issues.
- Ensure steps are secure, boats are clean, and bilge pumps are empty, including VHF’s and gauges.
- Liaise with Head of Operations on vessel availability to satisfy bookings with the maintenance schedule.
- Ensure maintenance store boxes are clean, clear, and logically ordered for effective Friday boat checks.
THE PERSON
- A degree in Engineering.
- Some experience working on engines.
- Passion for boats and high performance engines.
