The Role
Software Engineer
Location: Hybrid/Derby – Twice a week in the Derby office
Contract: Permanent
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our talented and innovative IT team.
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for streamlining and enhancing the car buying journey for our customers. User experience and performance are critical and every millisecond counts. With spikes of around half a million requests per second across the eco-system, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable writing and optimising large scale, customer facing applications.
Essential skills
- At least 2 years commercial experience writing web applications
- Experience of working with a cloud provider (AWS / Azure)
- Experience of working with version control software (Git / Azure DevOps)
- Experience of working in Agile environments
- C#
- SQL Server
- TypeScript / JavaScript
- CSS / Sass
Desirable skills
- Next.js/React
- Rabbit MQ
