What’s the role about?

As our Retail Junior People Partner, you will provide generalist people support to the retail team, collaborating with various stakeholders and assisting in the delivery of the People Plan.

This role reports to our People Partner and works closely with the wider People Team to ensure operational excellence in People processes and practices. As a trusted partner, you will contribute to enhancing the employee experience by identifying opportunities and implementing improvements across all lifecycle stages.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Who you are

  • Experience as an HR Advisor and in Employee Relations, preferably within fashion or retail.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • CIPD qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement.
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and credible.
  • Confident, adaptable, and proactive.
  • Energetic with a drive to make an impact.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Proficient in IT tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

What you’ll be doing

  • Serving as the first point of contact for Area, Store, and Concession Managers regarding People queries.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to manage Employee Relations cases, including meetings, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Upskilling managers to handle low-risk ER issues confidently.
  • Developing HR policies and procedures.
  • Supporting lifecycle processes like onboarding, changes, and leavers.
  • Assisting the People Partner with retail reward and benefits management.
  • Participating in cyclical processes such as engagement surveys and pay reviews.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK and European employment laws, staying updated on legal changes.
