Finance Analyst – Quadrille (FTC until November)
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Finance Analyst to join our Quadrille division on a fixed-term basis until November 2025.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Analyst, you will be integral to the seamless financial operation of our renowned publishing house. Your primary responsibilities will include managing and supporting daily financial tasks in strict adherence to our financial policies. You will serve as the key point of contact for various financial matters, including handling rights and co-editions transactions, processing printer invoices, and addressing other finance-related inquiries. Your role will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, improving financial processes, and contributing to the overall financial health and success of our organisation.

Quadrille is a distinguished publisher known for its beautiful books and expert authors, setting the gold standard in the world of print. With a truly global reach, their design-led books captivate a wide audience. Specialising in food and travel, Quadrille takes readers on an immersive journey through regional cuisine, featuring deep dives into single-subject food and drink writing by world-renowned chefs. Their publications cater to a diverse audience, from high dining at-home enthusiasts to everyday foodies seeking quick, fuss-free meal solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing the co-edition and rights invoicing process.
- Coding all printer invoices and updating the print orders register.
- Month end tasks including freight cost allocations between the UK and Australia, preparation of the monthly origination files and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Preparation of analysis of performance around new and older titles and reporting on different genres.
- Assisting with various budget and forecast tasks.
- Preparation of monthly sales reports, reps commission reports and other ad hoc reports.
- Liaising with the marketing team to update and review marketing spend.
- Analysis on author, titles, or markets to aid decision making within the business.
- Dealing with internal partners, e.g. Group Finance, Royalties Rights, Contracts, Sales, Editorial, Production.
- As we are currently in the process of migrating systems, assistance with other ad hoc tasks may be required.
What you’ll bring:
- Excellent numeracy skills and good commercial outlook.
- Ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance colleagues and partners across the business, and build strong working relationships.
- Good Excel skills including pivot tables and what-if statements.
- Organised and proactive, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new IT systems and processes.
- Ability to analyse, evaluate, and interpret commercial and financial data.
- Experience within the media industry is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of using financial accounting systems is preferred.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in commercial finance within a similar role.
