On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Quality Lineside Engineer on an initial 12-month contract. As the Quality Lineside Engineer, you will be supporting the evaluation, coordination, and monitoring of achieved levels of conformity in the product, process, and services provided by the Business.
Role: Quality Lineside Engineer
Pay: £31.56 per hour Via Umbrella
Location: Broughton
Contract: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week, 11 Months contract
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist Quality support and advice on drawings, parts, processes, and support services, ensuring that Quality requirements have been met.
- Assure that the Quality system is being adhered to within the business through surveillance activities.
- Ensure that certification processes are consistently defined and applied within the business.
- Coordinate and lead reported quality/technical issues from business teams and customers, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive action is taken.
- Perform initial investigations (e.g., Events, QLB’s, NC’s) to assess probable root cause, informing the accountable function and ensuring corrective and preventive action is taken.
- Conduct investigations to assess the probable root cause of any deficiency noted during process confirmation activities.
- Compile and present Quality overview to the leadership team within the business area.
Requirements
- Quality or engineering-based background (desirable) within a major manufacturing industry.
- Ability to interpret drawings.
- Ability to problem solve and use associated problem-solving tool sets (PPS, 5Y, Ishikawa, etc).
- Good interpersonal skills – ability to challenge appropriately while maintaining strong relationships.
- Data analysis skills – interpret data sets, graphical data, and draw conclusions.
- Work well as part of an integrated team alongside operational and cross-functional team members.
