FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
Location: Devon / Exeter areas
Salary: £17.00ph – £19.00ph (£40,000.00 – £45,000.00) plus overtime
My client, a company specialising in all Agricultural equipment, is looking for a skilled and experienced Mobile Plant Fitter / Field Service Engineer / Agricultural Engineer to join their friendly team. This role will be mobile, covering the Mid and North Devon areas.
Duties:
- Travel to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Offer training and support to clients’ staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.
- Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.
- Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential).
- Previous experience working as a mechanical/electrical engineer within the plant and/or automotive and/or Agricultural industries (essential).
- Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering – minimum level 2, time served will be considered.
- Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous).
- Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous).
- Full UK Drivers License.
