ROLE: Graduate Product Design Engineer

LOCATION: High Wycombe

TERM: Permanent

SALARY: GBP 25,000 – GBP 27,000, dependent on experience

My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Graduate Design Engineer to join their team in High Wycombe on a permanent basis.

The Graduate Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  1. Degree qualified (BSc or BEng) in Product Design, Industrial Design or similar
  2. Interested in developing a career in Design Engineering / Product Design
  3. A sound understanding of Engineering processes and materials
  4. Previous work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
  5. Be proficient using 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Draughtsight, etc.
  6. Hands-on technical experience through your course
  7. Able to work to specific requirements and deadlines
  8. Excellent attention to detail
  9. Organised with excellent communication and teamwork skills

The Graduate Design Engineer Roles Will Involve:

  1. Using 2D and 3D CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
  2. Liaising with manufacturing providers
  3. Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports/plans
  4. Updating 3D models and drawings
  5. Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
  6. Checking drawings for sign off
  7. Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
