Performance Attribution Analyst

Our client is a leading player within the investment management sector. Due to continued company growth, the business is now seeking a Performance Attribution Analyst to join their high-performing Performance team on a permanent basis.

The purpose of the Performance Attribution Analyst’s role is to carry out performance calculation, measurement and comprehensive assessment of investment performance across the full range of products.

Working closely alongside the Head of Performance, the Performance Attribution Analyst will take responsibility for the following duties:

• Supporting the timely and accurate calculation of performance analysis across a range of funds
• Analysing and effectively communicating the drivers of this performance to the investment teams
• Assisting in ongoing projects to implement new strategic performance analysis tools
• Assisting the RFP team with requests from sales prospects for ad hoc analysis of performance and ex-post risk enquiries
• Assist in the centralisation, standardisation, production and review of performance and ex post risk reporting

The Performance Attribution Analyst will meet the following criteria:

• Experience in a performance role at an investment management firm is essential
• Good knowledge of the calculation of contribution and attribution analysis
• Exposure to fixed income and derivative instruments
• Strong Excel skills as well as experience using a performance system, such as SimCorp, Factset or Morningstar
• A high degree of numeracy
• Excellent communicator, both verbally and written
