Senior Market Intelligence Analyst

Our client is a mid-sized player within the investment management industry. Due to continued company growth and success, they are now looking to recruit a Senior Market Intelligence Analyst to join their high-performing team on a permanent basis.

Working closely alongside the Head of Market Intelligence, the Senior Market Intelligence Analyst will take responsibility for the following duties:

1. Provide support to the Distribution teams with detailed competitor portfolio analysis and market dynamics insight.
2. Highlight fund-specific USPs and produce regular reports containing fund performance analytics.
3. Produce analysis on factors determining the strong performance of key competitor and internal funds to enable Distribution and Marketing channels to prepare effective pitches and investment marketing content pieces.
4. Assist strategy and distribution with the understanding of different market dynamics, market opportunities, and the competitor landscape.
5. Support the development of client intelligence and aim to automate where possible on data collation, cleansing, and mapping.
6. Conduct market research which can be used to support innovative product ideas, product reviews, and other ad hoc projects arising within Product areas.
7. Provide guidance to junior members of the team.

The Senior Market Intelligence Analyst will meet the following criteria:

1. Background within Market Intelligence.
2. Experience with fund analysis and selection tools: Financial Express, Morningstar Direct, and/or Bloomberg, Lipper, eVestment.
3. Experience in identifying key market dynamics such as IA, Financial Clarity, Simfund, and Broadridge GMI.
4. Knowledge in using or building Tableau.
5. Confident in managing stakeholders across the business.
6. Working knowledge of financial markets.
7. Basic understanding of FCA regulations.
8. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
