Your new role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Investment Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, updating, and maintaining detailed business plans and financial models for our real estate (RE) portfolio, developments, and dispositions. This role requires exceptional proficiency in financial modelling, market research, and valuation processes.
- Build, update, and maintain detailed business plans and financial models for RE portfolios, developments, and dispositions.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to assess risk and return profiles.
- Support valuation processes using DCF, IRR, and other industry-standard methodologies.
- Perform detailed market research to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Analyse operating statements, rent rolls, and other financial documents.
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of existing assets, comparing actual performance against underwriting assumptions.
- Assist in the preparation of asset management plans, including leasing strategies, capital improvements, and refinancing opportunities.
- Collaborate with property managers, leasing agents, and other partners to optimise asset value.
- Stay informed about market trends, economic drivers, and competitive positioning in relevant markets.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarising research findings for use in decision-making.
- Work closely with the acquisitions, development, and asset management teams.
- Communicate analysis and insights effectively to internal stakeholders and investment committees.
What you\’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor\’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are a plus.
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced financial modelling techniques.
- Familiarity with real estate investment tools and platforms is a strong advantage.
