Are you passionate about motorsports and have a keen eye for sponsorship asset management, operations, and event logistics? Octagon is looking for an Account Executive to support the Formula 1 Asset Management & Operations team. This role will focus on managing sponsorship and partnership assets and property operations to ensure the seamless execution of high-profile Formula 1 activations and hospitality programs. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with experience in sports sponsorship, event logistics, and hospitality asset management. You will play a crucial role in tracking sponsorship assets and providing operational support for motorsport-related events.

The Work You’ll Do

  • Serve as a key liaison for client sponsorship assets within the Formula 1 portfolio, supporting internal client teams and agency partners.
  • Manage and track the allocation, utilization, and fulfillment of sponsorship assets to support a range of client business objectives.
  • Oversee the digital asset management system, ensuring assets are uploaded, updated, and utilized efficiently.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors and rights holders to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of sponsorship activation plans, property performance, and asset tracking.
  • Assist in the development of process improvements and best practices for asset management.
  • Manage event ticket inventory, including allocation, distribution, and compliance Data & Reporting.
  • Prepare comprehensive client reports, post-event recaps, and quarterly reviews.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing property performance per race, asset utilization, and key insights for client presentations.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Formula 1 sponsorship landscapes and industry trends.
  • Support weekly status meetings, creating agendas, recaps, and project updates.
  • Find and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Strive to produce high quality, accurate work.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of asset management, and operational projects ensuring accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Who We’re Looking For

  • An impressive work ethic with the initiative to constantly go above and beyond.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sports sponsorship, asset management, or event operations.
  • A passion for motorsport with knowledge of Formula 1 sponsorship and commercial structures.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data reporting tools.
  • Ability to work in MS Excel, building reports and producing data-driven analysis.
  • Experience working with sponsorship properties, leagues, or major sporting events.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work weekends as required during the Formula 1 season.
  • You demonstrate persistence to make sure the client’s questions and reports are delivered in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information/data with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Top-notch organization skills and attention to detail are a must-have.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
  • Financial management experience, including budget tracking and PO processing is a plus.
