Night Shift – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
SRG – Hiring for the Waste Management & Recycling Industry
Location: St Helens, Merseyside
Shift Pattern: 10-hour night shifts, 5 nights a week (20:00 – 06:00 or 21:00 – 07:00)
SRG is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading company in the waste management and recycling sector. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and help maintain essential machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out nightly engineering checks, including fire-watch and machine inspections
- Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on conveyors, crushers, optical sorters, and motors
- Respond to breakdowns and complete necessary repairs
- Log work orders, report defects, and suggest process improvements
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (Essential)
- Experience working with conveyors is highly desirable
