Metal Fabricator

Working within the heavy steel industry, this role is responsible for: +

• Fabrication of metal components according to specification

• Utilisation of sheet metal, power tools and machinery to cut and shape materials

• Assembly of fabricated metal parts using hand tools

• Application of basic math skills to measure and cut materials accurately

• Experience in using power tools, hand tools, machinery and measuring instruments

• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings – ability to read drawings is essential and create drawings is a distinct advantage, but not necessarily needed for this role

• Fabricating from scratch

• Use of machinery including grinders, press, guillotine, We are ideally seeking candidates with previous Fabricating experience, preferably gained within the sheet metal fabrication industry though any experience will be considered.

Candidates must have strong hand and power tool experience for fabrication, and be confident with metalwork machinery.

Strong numeracy skills are also needed, to ensure accurate measurements.

We are seeking candidates who are apprentice trained, however candidates with time-served experience will also be considered.

Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, as some travel will be required however a company van would be provided for this, and travel time is paid at time and a half., * Metal fabrication: 3 years (required)

• Power tools: 1 year (required)

• £14-£16 per hour, dependant on experience

• Day shifts – 40 hours per week with a one hour unpaid break

• Temp to Perm

Halo Recruit are working in partnership with a long-established Nottingham based steel supplier and fabricator, who have been serving the East Midlands and surrounding areas for over 30 years., This role is paying between £14-£16 per hour, depending on experience.

Overtime is paid at time and a half.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with a one hour unpaid lunch break., Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
