At Scotframe we have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Estimator to help provide pricing and quotations in line with specific architectural drawings and specifications.
Scotframeis part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland and have been helping homeowners achieve their dreams for 35 years. We supply award winning timber frame kits for self-build and commercial home developers across the UK.
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven individual to join us as a Trainee Estimator. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn and an interest in working in construction or from an architectural background would be a bonus. The following skills and attributes will help you succeed in this role:
- Strong communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- An interest in working within a Timber Frame environment
- A structured, deadline-driven approach to work.
- A team player who can also manage tasks independently.
- A problem solver eager to learn new systems and processes.
What you will be doing:
As a Trainee Estimator, you will receive training to support your learning. Your responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with various internal and external departments to ensure projects progress through the system from order to delivery
- Support the wider estimating team in obtaining material quotes from external suppliers
- Producing competitive quotations at given margins to sustain & grow the business
- Working with various business systems relevant to this role
