A vacancy has arisen for a Team Assistant to support our expanding Private Client Team. Our Private Client team deal with all matters relating to all aspects of private client work and asset protection matters, including wills, estate administration, Powers of Attorney, Guardianship Orders, Trusts and estate planning. The team also specialise in all aspects of Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Income Tax.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising with lawyers to identify their work commitments and prioritise work accordingly
- Diary Management
- Arranging meetings and appointments both internally and externally
- Booking travel and meetings
- Producing PowerPoint presentations, organisational charts, mail merges, Excel spreadsheets
- Managing production of documents
- Audio and copy typing for complex and confidential documents (typing will also be supported by the Document Production team)
- Handle client telephone enquiries in a polite & professional manner within the agreed timescales.
- General administration
- Participate in projects at the discretion of management.
- Assist lawyers in the billing and credit control process
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
- Experience of dealing directly with clients by telephone
- Legal Secretarial experience within a private client environment would be advantageous
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines under pressure
- Ability to use initiative
