Salary: £36,005 Per Annum + Contributory Pension (subject to uplift April 2025) Post will also receive company vehicle and plant
40 hours per week Permanent
22 days annual leave + 15 public holidays per year (pro rata)
The Plumber / Heating Engineer will be part of Upkeep’s void property and housing maintenance team, which delivers a multi-trade service to Upkeep’s parent company, Shettleston Housing Association and other external clients.
The Plumber / Heating Engineer will deliver plumbing and heating system maintenance services to void properties, but also to tenanted homes as required.
The Plumber / Heating Engineer will answer directly to the Upkeep Contracts Managers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Plumber / Heating Engineer will:
1. Deliver a plumbing / heating maintenance service in connection with the Upkeep void property and housing maintenance service and elsewhere as required.
2. Provide a reactive maintenance service in domestic properties and commercial premises with regard to plumbing and heating works.
3. Carry out agreed performance monitoring procedures and quality control.
4. Be conversant with current Health and Safety at Work Legislation and ensure that all plumbing and heating system maintenance activities comply with the legislation.
5. Assist in the carrying out of Risk Assessments
6. Carry out any other duties appropriate to the post and in line with the needs of Upkeep.
7. Use PDA device effectively.
