Retail Team Member – ChesterfieldSummaryHardwick Hall is one of the National trust\’s discovery houses in Derbyshire. built by thte infamous Bess of Hardwick in the 1500s, it is a leading example of an elizabethan house. The estate currently attracts more than 500,000 visitors a year and the Stable shop within the Stableyard is going from strength to strength.With your love of working with people and desire to provide a great service, we’re looking for a Retail Team Member to welcome visitors and to answer their questions to help them make the most of their day.Salary:12.25 per hourContract/duration: Fixed term contract for 9 monthsHours/working pattern 7 hours per week. You\’ll mainly work one weekend day with some flexibility needed for weekday and evening work.For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.What it\’s like to work hereYou\’ll be part of a small team of 8 staff plus our team of volunteers who help with our retail and plant offer. Reporting to the Retail Manager, you\’ll be fully supported, helping you to integrate into the team and learn about all the wonderful products we sell and the stories behind them.To find out more about what it’s like to work within “Retail” at the National Trust, click here to watch our video.What you\’ll be doingAs a member of the retail team, you’ll be offering visitors help and advice with their shopping. You’ll have high standards of presentation in the shop while providing excellent service to all customers. You’ll also be able to talk to them about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust.
