Job Description
Role Overview:
As Oliver’s Travels continues to grow, we’re looking for a People & Culture Manager to drive our People strategy, lead change and acquisitions integration, and ensure our team is set up for success. This role is a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, perfect for someone with experience in fast-paced or scale-up environments. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, oversee all People initiatives, and mentor the People & Wellbeing Lead, supporting their growth and the evolution of the function.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic People Leadership:
- Align the People strategy with business objectives to drive growth and innovation.
- Lead change management and acquisition integration, ensuring seamless people transitions.
- Provide HR expertise to board members and managers, supporting decision-making.
- Own and manage the People budget, including headcount planning, benefits, and HR systems.
- Manage the annual pay review process, including salary benchmarking to ensure competitive and fair compensation structures.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Brand:
- Oversee the recruitment strategy, ensuring we attract, hire, and retain top talent.
- Strengthen employer branding, positioning Oliver’s Travels as a top employer in the industry.
- Embed diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) best practices in all hiring and talent strategies.
Culture, Engagement & Development
- Champion an inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with Oliver’s Travels’ values.
- Develop and oversee learning & development initiatives to drive career progression.
- Design and implement leadership development programmes, equipping managers with the skills to lead effectively and foster team success.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Act as the go-to advisor on complex employee relations cases, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Ensure policies and procedures are legally compliant and aligned with employment law updates.
- Build strong relationships with managers, supporting them with best-practice people management.
People Analytics & Data-Driven Insights
- Use HR data and insights to improve workforce planning, retention, and employee experience, ensuring people decisions are backed by meaningful analytics.
- Enhance HR systems and reporting, making data more accessible and actionable for leadership while improving automation, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Extensive HR experience in a fast-paced, scale-up environment
- Proven experience in change management & integrating people from acquisitions
- CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability
- Exceptional stakeholder management & influencing skills
- Commercially astute with a data-driven approach to People strategy
- A collaborative leader who can mentor and develop their team
