This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual that is looking to join an entrepreneurial team that is building the business. This is a high profile role within ZEDRA with Fund Services being a core pillar of the ZEDRA growth strategy that is expected to grow significantly over the next 5 years.

The purpose of this Associate Director / Director role is to develop new business from London and UK based intermediaries. They will also work with the wider global Funds teams and the ZEDRA Group ensuring that there is an aligned approach that promotes the business’ growth strategy and its culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake business development activity, research and identifying potential opportunities for Funds business from new clients and intermediaries, liaising with colleagues within the ZEDRA Funds Group to ensure needs are identified and fulfilled effectively utilising the ZEDRA Group capability as appropriate;
  • Establish, development and expand intermediary relationships.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the ZEDRA Group, the role holder will assist with the profile, visibility and understanding of the Funds service offering within our chosen markets and with intermediaries;
  • Where the opportunity arises, participation in seminars, conferences and roundtable events representing ZEDRA and demonstrating though active participation sharing key market trends, knowledge and expertise;
  • Where ZEDRA has been chosen as the preferred provider, the role holder will have responsibility of the pricing of the service offering ensuring it is commercial (agreeing with the relevant ZEDRA office(s) as appropriate);
  • The role holder will be responsible for ensuring that when ZEDRA embarks upon a new or expanded client relationship that all associated documentation is complete and will liaise with colleagues in respect of wider due diligence / KYC requirements
  • Accountability for ensuring that policy and procedure is complied with and that legal and regulatory obligations are met driving escalation when necessary;
  • Provide input and support for the Commercial strategy of the Global ZEDRA Funds business and role model ZEDRA’s values and behaviours whilst supporting these in others to ensure focus on, and alignment to, our Mission and Vision;
  • Responsibility for ongoing personal development in partnership with the business and meeting the associated CPD obligation.

Knowledge & Experience

  • The successful applicant will have significant industry experience of working with Institutional Investors, Private Equity /Venture Capital, Corporates and High Net Worth clients and on structures of all types within the Regulated and Unregulated/Registered Funds industry.
  • Demonstrate first class client service delivering against the needs and demands of clients both from prior experience and through driving the performance of others.
  • Excellent technical competency and an ability to impart that knowledge to others effectively. They will be expected to have an excellent understanding of the regulatory environment in which the global Funds teams operate.
  • A flair for building and maintaining client and professional relationships and for developing new business;
  • Skilled at presenting to prospective funds clients as appropriate and to professional business introducers on a range of fiduciary and other services; and
  • In-depth knowledge of legal obligations and compliance regulations and a full understanding of general regulatory principles
