We are currently working in partnership with one of the UKβs largest gas distributors who are recruiting for a HR Advisor on a temporary three month contract. The role will be hybrid (2 days WFH) and then based at sites in the Essex area.The position is due to start immediately, with a possibility of extension. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to Β£26 via an Umbrella company.The ideal candidate will have access to their own vehicle, be happy to travel across the whole patch to sites, and have experience working on ER case work in industries such as manufacturing, retail, distribution or construction.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Acting as first line support in telephone and email query resolution, coaching managers, colleagues and candidates on key HR proceduresProviding accurate advice and coaching to managers on various aspects of employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, probationary and performance management processes, flexible working requests, maternity and paternity to ensure these are handled appropriately and in line with our policies and legislationManaging sickness and other absence processes, including managing and monitoring absence cases, issuing Sick Pay letters and tracking occupational health referralsSupporting Leaver process, advising on policy and best practiseCoordinating Drugs and Alcohol process e.g. organising testing, ensuring completion and submission of documentationUpdating and maintenance of HR systems including the Workday systemTravelling to sites to attend disciplinaries, coaching managers, taking notes and following up on outcomesExperience required:Experience working on ER case workExperience working in industries such as manufacturing, retail, distribution or constructionSkills, knowledge and expertise required:ER caseworkFrequent short term sicknessBradford factorFamily Friendly processes; Maternity, Paternity, Adoption, Shared Parental LeaveProbationary reviewsSickness and absence management process, including chasing certification documentation, issuing Sick Pay letters and tracking occupational health referralsLeaver management e.g. processing resignations, ensuring leavers checklists are completed and submittedDrugs and Alcohol process e.g. organising testing, ensuring completion and submission of documentationHealth assessments e.g. Night workingContractual documentation e.g. Workforce agreementsRewards and Benefits:Hybrid workingFlexible working daysTravel paid for, hotels if neededWorking hours:37.5 hours per week, 1 hour lunch breakMonday β Friday, 9am-5pmPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
