For Companies I am partnering with a leading international law firm that is seeking a Risk and Compliance Counsel to join its dynamic London-based team. Reporting directly to the Head of Risk and Compliance, this position offers a broad and engaging remit, encompassing all facets of legal risk.
This is a compelling opportunity for a Risk and Compliance lawyer currently working within a law firm who is seeking a varied and challenging role in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will join a supportive team within a firm known for its positive and inclusive working culture.
Duties:- Providing guidance to partners, fee-earners, and key stakeholders on SRA regulatory compliance
- Offering advice on complex conflict of interest issues
- Reviewing and updating firm policies relating to anti-bribery, insider trading, and the acceptance of hospitality and gifts
- Supporting COLP-led internal investigations
- Drafting and revising client engagement letters and standard terms of business
- Assisting with the oversight of the firm’s data protection policy and acting as a point of contact for data subject access requests (DSARs)
- Qualified lawyer in England and Wales with 2-4 years’ experience of working within a risk and compliance team at a law firm
- Experience of advising under the SRA regulations
- Experience of contract drafting
