Build Recruit is working in partnership with a leading social housing contractor to source an experienced Repairs Contract Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated manager with a strong background in responsive and cyclical repairs to lead a team of operatives and ensure works are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of responsive, cyclical, and housing repairs contracts.
  • Manage client relationship across the housing contracts.
  • Manage a team of operatives to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards.
  • Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are carried out efficiently and to specification.
  • Liaise with residents to resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
  • Drive contract performance in line with KPIs and client expectations.
  • Ensure all reporting and paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Conduct site visits, toolbox talks, performance reviews, and inspections.
  • Travel across sites (currently operating in a hybrid/home-based model).

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Repairs or Maintenance Manager within social housing, a local authority, or a main contractor environment.
  • Strong understanding of SOR codes, contract management, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • IT literate and confident with reporting tools.
