For Companies Build Recruit is working in partnership with a leading social housing contractor to source an experienced Repairs Contract Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated manager with a strong background in responsive and cyclical repairs to lead a team of operatives and ensure works are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of responsive, cyclical, and housing repairs contracts.
- Manage client relationship across the housing contracts.
- Manage a team of operatives to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards.
- Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are carried out efficiently and to specification.
- Liaise with residents to resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Drive contract performance in line with KPIs and client expectations.
- Ensure all reporting and paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Conduct site visits, toolbox talks, performance reviews, and inspections.
- Travel across sites (currently operating in a hybrid/home-based model).
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Repairs or Maintenance Manager within social housing, a local authority, or a main contractor environment.
- Strong understanding of SOR codes, contract management, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- IT literate and confident with reporting tools.
