Our client is an award-winning environmental charity that takes a fresh look at the challenges faced by businesses, homes and communities, and comes up with ideas to make sustainability second nature. They create campaigns that make it easier and more possible for all of us to make choices that are good for the environment.

We are now looking for an experienced Interim Finance Director to join their team on a part-time basis (3 days per week) for up to a 6-month period. This role will play a critical part in helping the organisation navigate a transitional period, with several time-sensitive priorities underway. These include:

  • Managing the final months of a high-value corporate partnership
  • Overseeing financial aspects of the strategy review and 2025/26 budgeting process
  • Leading financial input into the commercialisation of a new social enterprise product

You’ll also provide leadership and continuity for a capable finance team.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified accountant with significant experience at Finance Director or senior leadership level
  • Comfortable leading on strategic financial planning and forecasting in a fast-paced, values-led environment
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities and confident making recommendations at senior level
  • Collaborative and hands-on – someone who can provide both strategic insight and operational support
  • Familiar with charity finance, including SORP and managing restricted/unrestricted funds
