A leading international law firm is looking for a 2-4 PQE lawyer to join their Compliance and Risk team and support with global matters for the firm. The role sits in a small but high-performing and dynamic team, ensuring compliance with professional standards and contractual work.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer in England & Wales, responsible for advising on SRA requirements, supporting regulatory engagement, and providing guidance on compliance issues related to the global mobility of fee-earners. You will also be involved in drafting and amending policies relating to anti-bribery, hospitality and insider dealing, as well as auditing files for regulatory compliance and assisting with internal investigations led by the COLP.
The role will draft client engagement letters and standard terms of business, and review outside counsel guidelines, client terms, and consultancy agreements. You will also provide legal risk input on client pitches, RfPs, and panel applications, and support the legal aspects of opening new offices.
Previous experience working in a Risk team within a large city or international law firm is required. Strong communication and prioritisation skills are essential, as is the ability to build effective relationships.
