Civil Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our clients growing team in Cambridge. Our client is one of the UKs leading independent design consultancies with currently over 350 employees across more than 10 locations. They seek an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a talent to think outside the box, someone who enjoys a collaborative approach to developing pragmatic and innovative design solutions to the various technical and environmental challenges land development can present.

The ideal candidate is someone with:

• 4+ years proven experience of land development
• Good 2D CAD skills
• Experience in preparing General Arrangement plans and construction details
• Some capability in developing 3D skills

What you need to succeed:

• HNC or BEng Civil Engineering degree
• Consultancy/private sector development background with experience working on residential development
• Experience preparing highway and drainage designs for both private and adoptable works
• Experience in the production of technical drawings for tender and construction purposes for a variety of infrastructure projects
• Numerate and software literate including experience and knowledge of 3D modelling software, Microdrainage and AutoCAD
• Ideally good experience of the legal, planning, and technical consent, adoption and contract procedures for the design and implementation of highway and drainage in new developments and regeneration projects including Section 38/278 and/or Section 104 agreements
• A proven knowledge/track record of preparing technical submission drawings for S38/S278 and S104 submissions
• Experience applying the principles, design codes and standards set out Manual for Streets, Local Authority Design guides, the SuDS Manual, DCG, etc.
