Job Description

As a Registration Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and evaluating licence and anti-money laundering (AML) supervision applications. You will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments on applications received and for ensuring the requirements of our licensing and AML frameworks are robustly met before granting approval. The role requires a blend of analytical skills, clear communication skills and a deep understanding of regulations and policies to be able to promote member understanding and provide support with compliance enquiries, as well as the ability to make reasoned decisions. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of registration procedures and stay current with industry trends and best practices. You will be at the forefront of providing an assurance to the public that our licensed membership is adhering to the highest professional standards, contributing significantly to the organisation's reputation and effectiveness as an AML supervisory authority.

Major objectives

  • Ensure effective and robust assessment of licence and AML supervision applications.
  • Maintain positive interaction with registrants through clear, effective and timely communications.
  • Promote member understanding of AML and practice management compliance.
  • Conduct due diligence on application details and evaluate eligibility against regulations.
  • Provide support for operational and compliance enquiries and ensure timely escalation of adverse information.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong knowledge of compliance, audit and assurance.
  • Excellent time and task management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly questioning and listening.
  • Experience in compliance monitoring and decision-making.
  • Relevant experience or qualification in AML requirements, audit, compliance or assurance.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and support others.
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
