Due to their continued growth and high performance, this underwriter requires a strong Senior Finance Business Partner to support both commercial matters and the accounting controls to underpin this. This is a broad role will have duties including (and restricted to) the following:
- Working closely with business leaders (particularly Underwriters) to enable understanding of business results
- Ensuring all plans and forecasts are delivered in accordance with the business planning timetable
- Oversight and review of the monthly and quarterly close process ensuring compliance with IFRS and UKGAAP
- Development of a close working relationship with the Technical Accounting team and providing guidance on best practice and support to developing new processes
- Provide technical support to IFRS17 reporting
- Measurement and delivery of reports of the effectiveness of the function
- Ensuring a robust control framework is maintained and developed in line with business growth
- Being a key point of contact for the wider business
