ROLE OVERVIEW:

This is an exciting new opportunity for a suitable qualified Site Electrical Manager who has experience working within a similar entertainment sector – such as concert venues and arenas, theatres or festival sites – you will provide expertise and drive the operations for the day-to-day maintenance operations of the ABBA Voyage site and its electrical networks, equipment and building fabric, including; low voltage switchgear and distribution, Fire alarm/PAVA systems, BMS and DATA networks.

You will collaborate closely with the other site service managers and provide strong and supportive leadership for the Site Electrician in order to deliver a safe, well-presented site at all times, especially during public opening hours, ensuring equipment remains in good, safe working order compliant with relevant statutory regulations and industry best practice.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Your experience and technical expertise contribute towards the direction of a comprehensive site maintenance program of ABBA Voyage's infrastructure, supporting the development and implementation of best practice maintenance protocols.
  • Manage compliance of statutory and non-statutory electrical requirements, with particular focus on establishing and maintaining safety standards across all operations through a robust inspection and testing regime and quality control measures ensuring result and faults are accurately recorded through the business’s CAFM System.
  • Work alongside the Facilities Manager to develop and execute long-term maintenance strategies, identifying opportunities for infrastructure improvements and operational efficiencies across the site encompassing both statutory and non-statutory requirements across daily, weekly, monthly and annual timeframes. Always ensuring compliancy and safety standards are met and adhered to.
  • Ensure sub-contractors maintain agreed service level agreements and quality standards using your expertise to ensure optimal service delivery and escalating concerns where necessary.
  • Working with the Facilities Manager produce departmental rotas ensuring as a minimum a site services manager and a technician are on show duty.
  • Ensure show critical electrical and mechanical plant including life safety systems are checked and monitored throughout the show day and the venue is safe and presentable for the public and staff alike.

Please note, this role will involve public holidays, working evenings and weekends. On occasion, this role may be required to work at other locations including, but not limited to our central London offices and other production sites.

ABOUT YOU:

  • An experienced site electrician/engineer with a recognised qualification(s) eg; NVQ level 3 or equivalent City & Guilds 2382 – 18, 2391.
  • Previous experience in a similar business or entertainment venue, theatre, arena or festival environment.
  • Strong fault-finding skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and think on your feet and delegate effectively where appropriate.
  • Experience in maintaining Fire Alarm/PAVA,BMS and Data networks.
  • Experienced in the preparation or understanding of risk assessments.
  • Good knowledge of IT software including Microsoft office, especially Excel and Word and some working knowledge of CAFM systems.
