Our client, a popular streetwear brand, in Watford is seeking a Sourcing & Production Coordinator to join the team on a maternity cover contract. The role will support the Sourcing Manager in coordinating seasonal deliveries, managing the critical path, and liaising with offshore factories and suppliers to ensure timelines and quality standards are met. A background in apparel sourcing and familiarity with factory communication, QC processes, and critical path tracking is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Critical Path & Production Coordination
    • Track key milestones across the seasonal production calendar – from order confirmation to delivery
    • Manage supplier communication to ensure sampling, testing, and production actions stay on schedule
    • Flag delays or risks early and liaise internally to resolve timing or quality issues
    • Keep all sample and delivery trackers updated to provide real-time visibility to the wider team
  • Factory Liaison & Quality Oversight
    • Act as day-to-day contact for suppliers, managing communication on approvals, testing, and production updates
    • Support Quality Control processes by reviewing in-line and final samples – ensuring compliance with specs, measurements, and finish standards
    • Monitor factory adherence to technical packs and agreed quality levels
    • Follow up on QC feedback and corrective actions prior to shipment
    • Prepare and share inspection reports and quality updates with UK HQ
  • Testing & Compliance Coordination
    • Coordinate garment and fabric testing – including shrinkage, colourfastness, and other relevant checks
    • Maintain accurate records of all test outcomes, lab reports, and approval statuses
    • Assist in following up with factories on pending test results or failed batches
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain and update internal Excel trackers – including sample status, QC findings, testing records, and delivery forecasts
    • Escalate timing or compliance concerns to the Production Manager promptly
    • Support shipment readiness by tracking completion status and outstanding approvals

Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience in apparel production, sourcing, or supply chain
  • Strong understanding of critical path tracking and supplier management
  • Exposure to garment quality control and factory-side communication
  • Proficient in Excel and confident using shared trackers/documentation
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and strong on follow-up
  • Turkish language skills a bonus, but not essential
