Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our small creative engineering team, to develop innovative robotic test platforms. You will be working on bespoke engineering projects from conception through to completion and be involved in design, assembly and testing throughout. This role requires proficiency in Autodesk Inventor design software and the ability to create detailed schematics and models. The ideal candidate will be innovative and possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have proven experience in system design and manufacture., * Develop and design mechanical systems and components using Autodesk Inventor CAD software,

• Create and interpret schematics to ensure accurate representation of designs.

• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precision in designs.

• Participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.

• Document design processes, modifications, and results for future reference.

• Use a range of engineering machines to manufacture parts

• Proven experience in mechanical design with a strong understanding of mechanical principles.

• Proficiency in CAD software Autodesk Inventor, is essential.

• Strong practical design skills with the ability to create solutions to complex mechanical systems.

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with relevant experience.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members .

• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics is an advantage., * System design: 1 year (preferred)

• Mechanical design: 1 year (preferred)

• Schematics: 1 year (preferred)

• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (preferred)
