Leading and managing strategic and tactical responses to Streetworks and Stakeholder challenges
and opportunities which have significant Reputational, Commercial and regulatory dimensions
- Managing over £1m of fines, permitry-related costs, including the negotiation of them with third
parties

Managing the reinstatement performance, inspection, coring and defects
-
Ensuring that we deliver in-line with regulations and collect the necessary data to support regulatory
reporting and the application of the uncertainty mechanisms provided in RIIO-2
- Accountable for the Streetworks process within the Network, ensuring any issues are resolved
effectively and areas for improvements / innovations are embedded successfully

Accountable for noticing and perimetry compliance

Engaging and working with the other Network Leads to ensure a consistent response to new permit
and legislation consultations

Leading permit schemes and new legislation consultations

Accountable for strategy development and ongoing engagement with Highways Authorities (HAs)

Accountable for ensuring all defects are resolved in a timely and appropriate manner

Addressing and resolving escalated complaints / challenges

Accountable for the development / production of Network specific MI

Cadent lead for key working groups such as; Highways Authority and Utilities Committee (HAUC) /
National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG) / Highways Authority (HA) interface meetings where required
- Developing a stable reinstatement back-office process, ensuring that all day-to-day targets are met, with
accurate data from Cadent’s systems
- Ensuring that contractual obligations are met with our Local Delivery Partners (LDPs), to ensure performance is
monitored through meetings and accurate data
- Providing high level reporting on Streetworks and reinstatement performance and develop action plans for poor
performing processes
- Developing robust coring schemes are implemented with our contract staff to ensure compliance around
legislation

Ensuring that our pipeline of collaborative works is healthy through good dialogue and interfaces with other

HNC / NVQ or equivalent in an engineering discipline

NRSWA Supervisor Certification
-
Valid UK Driving Licence
-
Safety qualification (such as NEBOSH, IOSH Certificate) (desirable)
Practical Experience
-
Significant knowledge of appropriate legislation, policy and procedures; including NRSWA and TMA
-
Strong people management and leadership skills
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing at senior levels, and gaining
support/commitment from a wide operational group

Extensive experience of an operational or contractor environment

Strong problem-solving skills

Able to articulate and present materials to a wide audience at senior levels

Gravitas at all levels
