Generator Technician, Ipswich Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00 £38,000-£47,000 DOE + company van + bonus. Overtime available. We are seeking an experienced Generator Technician to join a busy diesel generator and transmissions division specialising in the service, maintenance and repair of diesel generators and associated equipment. Our client, a leading multi-disciplined engineering business offer ongoing support, training and development in addition to a varied and team spirited environment within this long-standing, highly regarded business. Due to the nature of this role a full UK driving licence is required. Outline of the role * Service, maintenance and repair of diesel generators and associated equipment. * Attend offsite breakdowns. * Fault finding and diagnosis. * Load bank testing. * Provide 24-hour emergency cover on call-out rota (1 week in 5) * Assist in the installation of diesel generators. Experience and skills required * Experienced in electrical or mechanical engineering with supporting qualifications/experience. * Approved electrician (18th edition) – advantageous. * Knowledge of common generator control systems. * Adapt to changing workload and be flexible to suit department needs. * Organised, self-motivated and a team player. * Basic level of IT proficiency. * Full UK driving licence. Experience with installations in an industrial environment will be highly beneficial. You will be fully supported in the role; you will be provided with a fully expensed company van and phone. In addition, you will be equipped with the latest diagnostic software to provide customers with the highest level of service.
