About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our team on a temporary basis, with both part-time and full-time opportunities available. You will deliver high-quality teaching and practical training to students across a range of motor vehicle subjects, helping them gain the skills and knowledge needed for success in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and practical motor vehicle lessons in line with current curriculum standards
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning materials and student work
  • Support students in developing both theoretical understanding and hands-on workshop skills
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety in the workshop environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering or Automotive Technology
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one
  • Industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
  • Strong communication and classroom/workshop management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners with diverse backgrounds

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching in a further education or training setting
  • Assessor and/or Internal Verifier qualifications (e.g., TAQA, A1, V1)
  • Familiarity with hybrid and electric vehicle technologies
  • Experience working with apprentices or delivering vocational qualifications
