About Hartley Pensions are looking for an Interim Pension Manager to help support the business during an important transitional phase. We are offering a unique and rewarding opportunity for an experienced pension administrator to provide a leading role in the reconciliation of our client’s SIPP portfolios before manually transferring them to new operators.
Applicants for this role must have substantial experience working at a minimum senior level in SIPP or SSAS pension administration. In particular, the successful candidate will have worked in pension transfers and has a strong academic understanding of UK pension legislation and regulations.
Role: The successful applicant will be able to administer a case load of client SIPPs over multiple books of business. An essential part of this role is providing exceptional service to our clients by ensuring the efficient processing of administrative requests. These range across all areas of administration, including:
- Benefit calculations
- Drawdowns
- Disinvestments
- Crystallisation splits
- Death benefits
- Valuation reports
- Bank reconciliations
Your main duties as a Senior Pension Administrator will involve the standard BAU of pension administration but crucially the reconciliation of our client's SIPP products and the transferring of these to new providers. This involves liaising with multi-party stakeholders across different areas of the business, maintaining clear and transparent communication with our clients, IFAs, and receiving schemes.
It is crucial that you can handle complex and varied workloads. You should also be willing to support and train more junior colleagues. Additionally, you should be dependable and able to oversee the work of others by identifying and addressing areas where improvement is required.
This is an opportunity that pays within the top 10% of pension providers and allows you to play a leading part in assisting a business during a highly unique transitional period.
