Classroom Teachers Ltd are currently looking for a tutor to work face to face with a year 3 male student with PANS / PANDAS (AUTOIMMUNITY AFFECTING MENTAL AND PHYISCAL HEALTH) CAMHS DIAGNOSED ADHD.

The successful teacher will need to implement the TEACCH approach

The tutoring will cover core subjects, over 15hours a week, Monday Friday (teaching sessions might only last 1hour at a time at first until the student is able to cope with more, but you will be paid for 3hrs)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  1. Implement autism-informed supports to develop communication skills (including cognitive flexibility)
  2. Use visual supports to clarify abstract concepts and social communication rules.
  1. Up to £41.26ph
  2. Starting ASAP – Long-term contracts
  3. Teaching a year 3 student with PANS on 1:1 basis at home. Parent/Guardian are always present
  4. Providing a stimulating & enjoyable learning environment
  5. Providing 1:1 sessions teaching core subjects.
  6. Half termly – report writing

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  1. Understanding of TEACCH and autism specific approaches.
  1. Qualified Teacher or substantial experience
  2. Previous SEN experience or advanced understanding of SEN
  3. You must be passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and be patient and caring towards children
  4. Able to engage students in their own homes
  5. Able to communicate with parents/guardians
  6. Able to inspiring young adults
  7. Able to travel to SE21 daily
  8. Hold an in date Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
