Calibration Engineer / Customer Support Engineer – UK Wide Calibration Engineer required to join a measurement specialist to provide technical support and on-site service, calibration, installation and commissioning of metrology equipment. My client is seeking someone based local to Gloucester to work as part of their 4 person service team, covering the whole of the UK and, when not on the road, working at their Gloucester facility. They are open to considering people with any calibration experience as they can provide product training, however, all candidates must have electro-mechanical experience. The Package: Salary – £30,000-£40,000 Company van for professional use Bonus Scheme Working Hours – 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday 25 days holiday + bank holidays Private medical The Role: Provide on-site Service, Calibration, installation and commissioning of equipment Perform hands-on on-site troubleshooting, service and repairs. Perform in-house calibrations and repairs when necessary. Provide high level support to external customers at their location. Provide on-site training to customers. Interface with cross functional work teams such as applications, customer support/services/sales and marketing. Required Skills: HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar. Working knowledge and ability to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits. It would be advantageous, although, not essential, to have experience in the service and calibration of measuring equipment e.g. CMM\’s, Shadow graphs, height gauges and vision systems.
