Solaris System Administrator
Location: London/Bristol

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Solaris System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle (Sparc)/Solaris (V10/11) administration and a strong background in managing clustering environments. The role also requires a good working knowledge of AWS and experience with orchestration and automation tools such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Chef, Puppet, and Ansible.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Oracle (Sparc)/Solaris (V10/11) environments
- Administer and optimize Solaris clustering configurations for high availability
- Implement and support AWS cloud services, ensuring integration with Solaris-based systems
- Utilize automation and orchestration tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and system management
- Troubleshoot system performance, security, and reliability issues
- Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth system performance
- Maintain compliance with security policies and best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle (Sparc)/Solaris (V10/11) administration
- Expertise in managing clustering and high-availability configurations
- Good knowledge of AWS cloud services and integration with on-prem Solaris environments
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
