Job DescriptionROLE- Design ManagerLOCATION- Hampshire TERM- PermanentSALARY- Β£60,000-Β£70,000, dependent on experience My client designs and manufactures bespoke machinery. They are looking for a Design Manager with strong leadership experience to join their team in the Hampshire area on a permanent basis.The Design Manager will ideally have the following attributes:At least 5 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Design / New Product Development positionExperience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing people or having direct reports Excellent practical skills – hand calculations, verification, validation, FEA, testing, prototypingStrong 3D CAD skills – ideally SolidWorks or Inventor Hands-on industry experience ideally working in a similar design role within a machine shop / workshop / manufacturing environmentKnowledge of machinery operations and electrical/electronic productsDegree / ONC / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering or similar Experienced designing products from concept to production Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets Able to main…
