Senior Database Administrator – £100,000 – Hybrid Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join my client who are a financial services organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, optimisation, and maintenance of our critical databases, ensuring their security, high availability, and performance. You will work closely with development teams to support database-related needs and help design and implement fault-tolerant, high-load solutions. Role Responsibilities: Administer, optimise, and maintain various relational and non-relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, ClickHouse, MongoDB, etc. Design and develop fault-tolerant, high-load database solutions. Ensure the security and high availability of all databases by implementing robust backup, replication, and failover strategies. Manage and resolve database-related incidents, minimising downtime and ensuring quick recovery. Conduct regular performance tuning and optimisation to identify and resolve bottlenecks in database operations. Analyse database logs, monitor performance metrics, and diagnose locks, slow queries, and performance issues.
