Are you an experienced CAMHS Practitioner, Social Worker, or Community Nurse looking to make a difference in the lives of young people? We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner/Social Worker/Community Nurse to join a dynamic and supportive team within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Telford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone committed to delivering high-quality care to children, young people, and their families. Key Responsibilities: * Assessment and Treatment: Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and young people with mental health difficulties and develop appropriate, individualized care plans. * Therapeutic Intervention: Provide evidence-based interventions, including individual therapy, family therapy, and group work, in line with best practice and clinical guidelines. * Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other professionals to ensure the delivery of integrated care. * Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people, providing risk assessments and engaging with safeguarding procedures when required. * Support for Families: Offer support and guidance to families, helping them navigate mental health services and providing education about mental health and coping strategies. * Case Management: Manage a caseload of young people, ensuring regular reviews and updating of care plans. * Professional Development: Actively participate in continuous professional development, including attending training and supervision sessions to further enhance skills and knowledge. Essential Criteria: * Qualifications: * Registered with the relevant professional body (NMC/HCPC/Social Work England). * Educated to degree level in a relevant field (e.g., Nursing, Social Work, or equivalent). * Experience: * Significant experience in a similar setting, preferably working with children and young people with mental health challenges. * Experience in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and delivering therapeutic interventions. * Skills and Knowledge: * Knowledge and understanding of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and mental health legislation. * Strong communication, assessment, and clinical skills. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Personal Qualities: * Compassionate, empathetic, and able to engage effectively with children, young people, and their families. * Ability to manage a varied caseload and respond flexibly to the needs of service users. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Desirable Criteria: * Experience in working within a CAMHS setting or similar mental health services. * Advanced knowledge of specific therapeutic models (e.g., CBT, DBT, systemic therapy). * Experience of providing supervision to junior staff or students.
