Belmont Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Youth Worker to join Rotherham MBC’s Children and Young People’s Services on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. The Role * Facilitate 1:1 and group sessions that promote youth participation and co-production. * Support participation groups including Children in Care Councils, Care Leavers Forums, advocacy and volunteer programmes. * Present children and young people’s views to senior leaders, including social care and police representatives. * Support young people to take part in regional/national campaigns and inspection activities. * Advocate for children in care and care leavers, ensuring their rights and voices are respected. * Build strong relationships with professionals across sectors to embed child voice in decision-making. About You * Experience working with children and young people (youth work, family support, early help, or education). * Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and the impact of trauma on children. * Skilled in group facilitation, engagement and relationship-building. * Organised, creative and passionate about youth participation and co-production. * Flexible to travel across locations and work evenings/weekends where required.
