Position Overview
We are seeking a warm, compassionate and proactive Extra Care Registered Manager to provide person‐centered care and support to our service users within a recently developed, brand new extra care scheme based in Hattersley, Tameside.
In this role, you will oversee the operational management of a 91‐apartment service, supported by a Deputy Project Manager and Senior Support Workers, providing the highest standards of care to over‐55 year olds in an independent living setting. The apartments comprise one and two bedrooms, featuring onsite amenities and the service offers 24‐hour care tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the operational management of the 91‐apartment service.
Register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to become the accountable base lead.
Work in collaboration with the housing provider, stakeholders and local health and social care services to ensure the highest standards of care and support.
Empower clients, meet their needs and preferences, and foster partnership with service users\’ families and friends to promote a positive atmosphere within the service.
Maintain orientation and independence for residents through empathetic and holistic care.
Provide support with dignified personal care, domestic tasks, and help residents access employment, education, and social opportunities.
Support the four services and manage occasional shift cover including mornings, evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in services for older people, people with dementia and memory loss.
Ability to work flexibly, energetically and reliably.
Commitment to a person‐centered, warm and respectful approach to care.
Professional Development & Training
Full training is provided, and you will have the opportunity to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care. Creative Support is committed to your continuous professional development.
