Design Engineer

We have a permanent vacancy for a local business (Near March, Cambridgeshire) who are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team.  They are a successful business, with a background in developing their own products, including Waste Conveyors, Materials Handling solutions, and packaging solutions.      You will be responsible for working on new products, developments to existing product lines and working on bespoke solutions for their customers.  Ideal Candidate:   Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role  A good grounding in Mechanical Engineering A recognised and related apprenticeship or degree  You will be an innovative and forward thinking individual  Prepared to go to site and measure up / get the brief / solve problems Excellent verbal and written communication skills  Highly organised with excellent attention to detail  Keen to learn and develop new skills  Good computer skills  Ability to work independently and as part of a team  This is a unique opportunity for an experienced design engineer to make a valuable contribution to an SME. Working directly with the head of engineering you will be a integral part of the team. CAD systems utilised are AutoCAD/Draftsite + Autodesk Inventor. Salary Negotiable dependant on experience.
