We are seeking several Qualified and experienced Mig Welders with Experience of Stainless-Steel Tanks and Vessels to join our team for a contract that could potentially run for 12 months As a Mig Welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks using the Gas Metal Arc Welding process, commonly known as Mig welding. Your primary focus will be on fabricating and assembling Stainless Steel Tanks to meet the specifications and requirements of our project.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine welding specifications and requirements.
Set up and operate Mig welding equipment, including power sources, wire feeders, torches, and shielding gases.
Select appropriate welding techniques, methods, and materials based on the type and thickness of the metal being welded.
Perform welding operations using Mig welding techniques to join, fabricate, and repair metal structures and components.
Ensure the accuracy and quality of welds by conducting visual inspections and using measuring tools as necessary.
Monitor and control welding parameters, such as voltage, amperage, wire speed, and gas flow, to achieve optimal weld quality and productivity.
Clean and prepare workpieces, surfaces, and welding equipment for welding operations.
Maintain a safe and organized work area, following all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Collaborate with team members, including engineers, fabricators, and supervisors, to discuss project requirements and resolve any welding-related issues.
Must have a recognised Welding Qualification
CSCS Card Green Minimum
Proven experience as a Mig Welder, with a strong focus on welding techniques.
Sound knowledge of welding Stainless Steel Tanks and Vessels.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols. Familiarity with Stainless Steel and their welding characteristics.
Ability to perform welds with accuracy, consistency, and high-quality standards.
Skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining welding equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions and environments.
Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to welding operations.

Confined Space Certificate (Medium Risk)
Experience at working at height.
Cherry Picker Licence
The Role is expected to run for a minimum of 6months Currently working hours are 10 hours per day Monday to Friday with a 30 minute break, Weekends will be available as the projects advances
