My client is a leading money lender located in the City of London who have been growing 20% every year. As such, this is a new role designed to manage and lead key daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting processes within their finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business working with a collaborative finance team and working with a senior finance professionals who want to invest in the progression of the successful candidate. Key Responsibilities Daily Post and reconcile transactions in banking and lending systems. Monthly Take ownership of critical month-end tasks contributing to the production of monthly management accounts, including: Preparing accruals and reconciling bank accounts. Funds-in-use reporting. Analyzing income, commissions, and deferred fees. Reviewing cost lines to support internal reporting. Posting adjustments such as corporation tax. Allocating and analyzing the cost of funds. Preparing monthly management accounts for Financial Controller review. Managing DB pension scheme administration costs. Quarterly/Annual Prepare and submit VAT and ONS returns. Assist with the annual budgeting process and provide ad hoc forecasting and analysis as needed. Support parent company reporting by producing schedules and analyses. Assist with the external audit process, delivering reconciliations and analyses as required. Contribute to statutory accounts preparation through detailed schedules and analysis. Additional Responsibilities Provide cover for Financial Control team members, including accounts payable and payments. Skillset We are looking for a qualified accountant (ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA, or similar) with: Experience in a finance role within a financial institution or comparable environment. Strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of effective internal controls. Desirable Skills Working knowledge of corporation tax and VAT. Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central and/or Power BI
