11+ Tutor Job Specification: * Title: 11+ Tutor (Employed) * Location: Balham & Clapham, Southwest London * Work Hours: 1 hour per week guaranteed during term time (39 weeks per year) with the option to work additional hours. Please note working hours take place during the evenings and weekends. * Pay Rate: £35 per hour (+ £4.22 accrued holiday pay) Keystep Education is an 11+ tuition company with a strong reputation in Southwest London. With a focus on 11+ transitions and consultancy services, the company has been providing exceptional support to students and families for over 5 years. In order to continue supporting students and families with the 11+ transition, Keystep Education is seeking a new, dedicated tutor to join our team. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide high quality one-to-one in-person tutoring for 11+ exam preparation in the Balham & Clapham area. The individual will be responsible for preparing and delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to individual student needs (full training provided). To facilitate continuous learning, they will also monitor student's progress and provide feedback to parents and the Keystep Education team. Essential Criteria: * A First Class or 2:1 undergraduate degree * A clear, enhanced DBS check in accordance with the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups * Must be able to travel around the Balham & Clapham area either by own means or public transport * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Commitment to delivering high-quality tutoring for a minimum period of 12-months * Ability to work flexibly across evenings and weekends Desirable Criteria: * Knowledge of the private education sector * Experience of working with students or young people * Qualified teacher status Benefits: * Competitive pay rate of £35 per hour + £4.22 accrued holiday pay * Guaranteed 1 hour per week during term time (39 weeks per year) with the option to work additional hours * Full training provided (paid) * Opportunity to work with an established tuition company in Southwest London * This an employed role for which Keystep Education will handle all NI and tax contributions, eliminating the need to register for self-assessment About Keystep Education Located in the heart of South West London, Keystep Education has been a beacon of excellence in 11+ tuition for over five years.
